Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the combustion efficiency of the engine by a method wherein eddy current motions are generated in air flowing into the carbureter and fuel flowing out of a fuel nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A device (g) for generating eddy current motion of air is provided at an air intake (a') for the carbureter (a) while a device (h) for generating eddy current motion of the fuel is provided at the fuel injection nozzle (d). The air flowing into the carbureter from the air intake (a') is provided with the eddy current by the device (g) for generating the eddy current motion of the air and is flowed into a combustion chamber (not shown) through a venturi (c). On the other hand, the fuel injected from the fuel injection nozzle (d) is converted into the eddy current by the device (h) for generating the eddy current motion of the fuel and is sent into the combustion chamber together with the air brought into a condition of eddy current as uniform mixture without rich or lean portions. According to this method, sufficiently mixed gas of the mixture may be obtained, therefore, perfect combustion may be realized, the generation of CO or HC in the exhaust gas may be reduced and the output of the engine may be increased.
