Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the rise in viscosity of ink, to improve polarization accuracy and resolving power, and to reduce nozzle clogging, by mixing water-soluble acidic dye- containing recovered aqueous ink with an alkali dilute solution with a pH higher than that of the ink.
CONSTITUTION: In recovering and reusing water-soluble acidic dye-containing aqueous ink e.g., C.I. Acid Blue 9, etc., an alkali dilute solution having a higher pH than that of the aqueous ink (preferably pH10W12), is added to the ink so that the overall pH of the ink is adjusted to preferably 8W9. A solution prepared by dissolving a basic substance (e.g., monoethanolamine, caustic soda, etc.) with high water solubility and no pundent odor in water may be preferably used as the alkali dilute solution.
