PURPOSE:To make it possible to classify and select the electronic components automatically while maintaining the alignment, by arranging them on a jig, transferring them in order and measuring the properties thereof while being transferred. CONSTITUTION:Lots of component are contained on a magazine 5 with positioning 6 thereof fixed. The components are transferred 7 to a press 9 for selection, and arranged and contained in a jig 11 fixed to the inspection table 10. The table 10 moves with an interval of 60 deg.. The individual properties are measured 12 by a control device 24, and the results are classified and put into memory. Then according to the instructions of the control device 24, the components are transferred to the table 15 for classification and set to a groove 16. The table 15 has many grooves 16 on its outer circuit. On moving, the address of the groove is detected 25. The components contained in the corresponding groove 16 are received on a shelf of a cartridge of receiving device 17a-17h. With such an arrangement, a great number of such kind of components which require arranged conditions before and after the sorting owing to the head/tail nature or fragility thereof can be automatically classified.
