Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to discriminate missing of a signal at recorded state, by reading out the signal recorded with a video head at recording by means a signal detection head and displaying the presence of recording signal on an indicator. CONSTITUTION:In recording signals on a magnetic tape 1a, video and audio signals are respectively fed to input terminals 15 and 19, the video signal is converted into an FM signal at a video circuit 14 and recorded on the magnetic tape 1a with a video head 4, and the audio signal is recorded on the magnetic tape 1a with the head 11 of a head composite body 10 and further the control signal is recorded via the head 12. Since a signal detection head 13 is located in response to the video signal recording section V, the recorded video signal is fed to an indicator 22 via an amplifier 21, allowing to display the presence of signals.
