Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent damages of the subject solar heat water heater due to freezing by fitting a temperature detecting element to the solar heat water heater to detect the temperature of the outer air, and when the atmospheric temperature reaches a temperature below 0°C, water is drained automatically.
CONSTITUTION: Water supplied through a water supply pipe 3 is passed through a pipeline 2 to warm the water, and a water exhaust pipe 6 is mounted on the solar heat water heater 1 which feeds hot water to the house through a control box 5. The temperature of the atmospheric air is detected by a temperature sensing element (not shown), and when the temperature of the outer air becomes below 0°C, water is automatically drained through the exhaust pipe 6 by the valve of the control box 5 to prevent the freezing.
