Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which produces molded articles having uniform appearance over a wide mold temperature range, by adding liquid or solid paraffin or polyethylene wax to a glass fiber-reinforced polyethylene terephthalate resin compsn.
CONSTITUTION: 5W60wt% glass fiber (A) and 0.3W10wt% liquid paraffin, solid paraffin or polyethylene wax (B) are added to the balance of a polyethylene terephthalate resin (C). The mixt. is mixed by a tumbler etc. to obtain the titled compsn. Said compsn. as such is directly injection molded. Alternatively, said compsn. is melt-kneaded by an extruder and pelletized. The pellets are injection molded or pressure molded into a molded article.
EFFECT: The compsn. has excellent post-coloring properties while scarcely lowering various characteristics such as chemical resistance, heat resistance, mechanical properties, etc. which the glass fiber-reinforced polyethylene terephthalate resin compsn. originally possesses.
