Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to continuously manufacture a diaphragm plate of sandwich construction in high speed and to foam uniformly the foaming sheet, by laminating a surface member on the surface of a core made of foaming sheet. CONSTITUTION:When the surface member sheet 1 passes between rollers 3, 3' heated to about 120 deg.C wrapped on the surface of the core sheet 2, the both sheets 1, 2 are molten. The composite sheet 6 made of laminated core sheet 2 and surface member sheet 1 with the heat of the rollers 3, 3' is heated for several seconds at about 180 deg.C with the heaters 4, 4'. Since the foaming member in the core sheet 2 is heated more than foaming start temperature with the heat of the heaters 4, 4', it is foamed and polyethylene short fibers in the surface member sheet 1 and polyethylene being the base material of the core sheet 2 are molten. The composite sheet 6 foamed and softened with the heaters 4, 4' is cold-pressed with metal molds 5, 5' and formed into the shape of diaphragm plate.
