Abstract

PURPOSE:To make stable the amount of floating and to prevent the damage of a medium and core accompanied with the transferring and stop of the medium, by connecting a slider which floats with a wind pressure due to moving of magnetic medium, with a core member which is depressed toward the medium surface with the wind pressure, by means of a damper. CONSTITUTION:A damper 9 such as spring is fitted at opposite side of the slider 6 of the slider A of floating magnetic head, and the core insertion hole 8 is provided at the center. The core B has the core surface 10 having the front slope 11 for the bottom and has the core slope plate 13 and the link 12 at upper part, and after the link 12 is inserted to the hole 8 of the slider A, it is fixed with the adhesives to be incorporated with the slider A. When the magnetic disc 14 is standstill, the slider surface 16 is in contact with the disc 14, and the core 10 is at higher position that the surface 6 by the damper 9. When the disc 14 turns, the slope plate 13 depresses downward with the wind pressure, and the surface 10 is lower than the floating slider surface 6. Thus, the surface 10 is not damaged due to projections and dusts on the disc 14 at standstill and turning and the amount of floating is stably held.
