Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct recording distortions by providing two recording heads which print corresponding to scanning directions and inclining the deflecting electrodes of the heads around the axes of ink jet directions to opposite direction with eacn other and increase a recording speed by bidirectional scan recording. CONSTITUTION:Two ink jet heads 12a, 12b each including a charging electrode are fixed to a recording head holder 11 and the deflecting electrodes 13a, 13b of the respective recording heads are inclined by an angle of theta to opposite directions with each other around the axes of ink jet directions. By switching a printing recording head according to the scanning direction of the recording head and selecting the inclining angle theta appropriately, recording distortions can be corrected, and since the printing recording head is switched corresponding to a scanning direction, bidirectional scan recording can be carried out.
