Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the selection of cities speedy by inputting cities from a keyboard by means of three-letter city codes or airport codes. CONSTITUTION:When city names are inputted from a keyboard switch by means of three alphabet letters, respective switchings are accomplished by a key matrix 18 and the contents thereof are temporarily sotred in a key latch circuit 20. Of which letters is this signal is discriminated 22 and the results are inputted to a city name register 26. In a time difference generating circuit 25, the three alphabet letters are translated and the signal for time difference codes is generated and is temporality stored in a latch circuit 24. Next, an adder 23 addes the time difference codes and the contents of a time counter 14, and stores the results in a world time register 29. The added time and city names are displayed in a number display part 36 and a city name display body 31, respectively.
