Abstract

PURPOSE: To stably store fermented materials without drying the same by irradiating radiations to org. waste in the high temp. state in their fermentation process.
CONSTITUTION: Org. waste such as sewer treatment sludge, livestock waste, or municipal waste is irradiated with radiations in the high temp. state in their fermentation process, and is stored. Although the dose of radiations can be small if the temp. of the fermented materials is high, but it is required to be about 104W107 rad. The dose rate at the time of irradiation gives virtually no influence on the effect of irradiation. After the irradiation, it is desirable that the fermented materials are stored in a tightly closed vessel, but sufficiently stable storage may be accomplished even if the vessel is not always tightly closed.
