Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a noiseless picture by using one solid-state pickup element by substituting two pickup outputs of the solid-state pickup element with prior picture- element signals not by sampling them in a noise-generation period.
CONSTITUTION: The pickup output of solid-state pickup element 8 is clamped by clamping circuit 9 to the best potential in a horizontal fly-back period and then supplied to sampling circuit 10. To control this sampling signal, the noise generation position of element 8 is previously stored in ROM24. The output of ROM24 is applied to gate circuit 26, where the gate processing with the sampling signal is performed, so that a sampling signal with a sampling signal corresponding to the noise generation period removed can be obtained. For the purpose, this sampling signal is supplied to sample holding circuit 10, and consequently a holding output one picture element before is outputted as it is without sampling operation in the noise generation period. This is supplied to level fixing circuit 11 to obtain a PAM signal, which is fixed to a constant potential and supplied to adder circuit 15. The other pickup output of element 8 is processed exactly in the same way and then supplied to circuit 15 to obtain a luminance signal.
