Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a highly precise wing-shaped blade in a very simple process by pressing down a hollow pipe into a flat shape by means of a mold with a perpendicular force to the axis of the pipe while giving an oil pressure inside the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A pipe material 4 is inserted between an upper and a lower metallic mold 3 and 3', and an oil pressure inside is opplied thereto. Then, the upper metallic mold is put down to transform the pipe. At this stage, the pipe material 4 is stuck tightly to the inside of the mold by virtue of the oil pressure inside to be shaped into a wing-shaped blade 1. The oil inside the pipe is returned to an oil pressure device 6 by a portion equivalent to the displaced amount of the pipe. In this illustration, the width of the metallic mold is equal to the length of the blade to be manufactured, and shown by l. The pipe material 4 is continuous and long. Therefore, when the position of the metallic molds is shifted, for instance, from A to B B to repeat the above process, a number of wing-shaped blade can be manufactured successively.
