Abstract

PURPOSE: To generate adsorptive force on insulation type belt and make separation of paper from photoreceptor sure by applying the charge of the polarity opposite from that of the charge by transfer corona beforehand to the copying paper.
CONSTITUTION: Copying paper 10 is transferred in the B direction by a belt 3 and makes close contact to a photoreceptor 2. Prior to this, it passes between metal-made rollers 11, 12. The roller 11 is grounded and the roller 12 is given negative voltage. At the time of passing between the rollers 11, 12, the paper 10 is charged negative and adsorbs on the belt 3. At the time when the copying paper 10 is moved while making close contact to the photoreceptor 2 in this state, a transfer charger 6 acts the transfer corona of positive polarity toward the belt 3. Since the copying paper after the transfer has been charged negative in the process before transfer, it is strongly sucked to the belt 3 having been charged positive, separates from the photoreceptor 2 and travels together with the belt 3. Thereby, the separation of the copying paper from the photoreceptor may be surely accomplished.
