Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a variety of battery jars each in few amount to be manufactured by means of simple metal molds by welding two battery jar elements each formed separately, by means of hot wind and a welding rod made of the resin same to the battery jar element.
CONSTITUTION: Battery jar elements 1, 1 are arranged in accordance with the shape of a battery jar and fixed by proper jigs 20∼22, forming a groove 19 having triangular section which is prescribed by slanting end surface 18. Then a welding rod 23 having a section suitable for the groove 19 described above is arranged in the vicinity of the groove 19, and both the groove 19 and welding rod 23 are heated by hot wind 24. Accordingly, for example, the part which was heated and melted by the hot wind 24 which was blown out from a nozzle 25 is pressed by rolling a roller 26 immediately afterwards, and welding process proceeds containuously. For th welding rod 23 described above, the same material to the thermoplastic synthetic resin which constitutes battery jar element 1, for example, polypropylene is used.
