Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve furthermore the tone quality of a speaker unit by fixing a shielding plate in front of the edge which is provided for fitting a high-hardness diaphragm to a speaker frame. CONSTITUTION:High-hardness diaphragm 7 is fitted to frame 22 by edge 21, and shielding plate 4 is fixed in front of edge 21. Shielding plate 4 is fixed to frame 22 while interposing plural spacers 23 arranged at equal pitch between plate 4 and frame 22 and covers almost all the surface of edge 21 at the view from the front side of the speaker unit. Acoustical absorbent 24 is caused to adhere to the reverse face of shielding plate 4. Yoke 25, permanent magnet 26 and pole 27 are fixed in back of frame 22, and voice coil 8 is inserted into the magnetic field formed between yoke 25 and pole 27. In the speaker unit formed in this manner, high-hardness and light-weight diaphragm 7 vibrates according to the signal current of voice coil 8 and generates distortionless beautiful sound.
