Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the selection of the test program in accordance with the types of calculating devices by memorizing previously the identification data for identification of the calculating device in the idle region of the memory and then reading out the identification data when the test is given to the calculating device.
CONSTITUTION: The identification data is read out of ROM of calculating device 1 and then supplied to decocer 21. Decoder 21 converts the input data, if any, into the selection signals of type-based test programs 23W26 which are stored in memory device 22. If the identification data read out of ROM corresponds to, for example, test program 23, decoder 21 delivers the selection signals of program 23. And thus program 23 is read out of device 22 to be stored in memory 28 of control unit 27. At unit 27 test unit 29 is controlled based on program 23 stored via unit 27, and unit 29 gives the test to calculating device 1.
