Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption by securing the use of the transistor under the unsaturated state via the PN junction between the source and the gate of the FET. CONSTITUTION:When switch S is closed, the current flows from the base to the emitter of the transistor Tr via resistance R and P-channel FET. As a result, the collector potential of Tr lowers, the current flows from the source of FET to the collector of Tr via the gate, the current decreases for primary side coil L1 of transformer T, the electromotive force is caused to coil L1, and the collector potential increases with the reverse bias applied to FET. Accordingly, the adverse electromotive force is caused at coil L1 when the base current decreases with FET cut off. After this, the state under which switch S is first turned on is reset to repeat the above-mentioned phenomenon, thus generating the AC voltage at secondary side coil L2.
