Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce axial load applied on the bearing by providing two groups of pump having different thrust in the direction of combined shaft on the rotary shaft of vertical canned motor. CONSTITUTION:The shape of impeller 31 is made different from that of other step then the first and the second group of impellers 31-33, 34-36 are fixed on the rotary shaft 4 of vertical canned motor 1 while directing their eye portions downward and upward respectively. Assuming the axial thrust of impellers 31 and 32- 36 Pa and Pb respectively, the combined axial thrust of all impeller is Ps=Pb-Pa, and when setting Pa, Pb such that the gravity G of rotary section is approximately equal to Ps, axial load applied on the bearings 9a, 9b can be reduced.
