Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a heat-insulated exhaust port having high thermal shock resistance and high compressive strength by jointly casting a ceramic port part covered with a metal material during the casting of cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust port of an internal combustion engine is manufactured from the ceramic part 1 and its periphery is covered with the metal sheath 2. And, the part is jointly cast to form an exhaust port during the casting of cylinder head. Thus, the strength of the ceramic part 1 can be maintained.
