Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure that a number of products can be producted by onetime molding, to improve productivity, and to reduce material loss by a method wherein a material consisting of an epoxy resin, polyamide resin, and filler is molded into a body thicker than a product, and the body is sliced into products.
CONSTITUTION: A composition consisting of an epoxy resin and a polyamide resin, together with a filler such as silver particles and mica particles, is charged into a mixer and mixed under stirring. The mixture is injected into a mold 3 thicker than a product, and hardened to a hardness of 35W95 as measured on a spring-type hardness tester according to JIS K6301 to form a block body 4, which is then taken out of the mold 3 and sliced by slicer 5 to obtain objective flat plate-shaped vibration damping materials of a thickness of 15W20mm, for example. Since surface grinding, deburring, and the like are needless, material loss is reduced. The damping material is used for lining sonar rooms, machine rooms, and the like.
