Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase an input speed by inputting the initial character of input information in alphanumeric and kana (Japanease syllabary), by retrieving and displaying a group of attribute information of input characters stored in a memory part and then by selecting and editing the input initial character information displayed.
CONSTITUTION: The initial character of input information is inputted in kana and alphanumeric by input character board 1 and then converted into a fixed code signal by character conversion part 4. Then, a group of attribute information as to this code signal is read from memory part 10 and displayed by display part 16. When aimed attribute information is not found on display part 16, a request to input a character is addressed and the character is displayed until the aimed character is displayed. Next, the aimed attribute information, when displayed, is selected by light pen 17, etc., and stored in data storage part 11. Further, stored data are edited by purposes by edition part 12 and displayed via retrieval display control part 14 by display part 16 on every edition.
