Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the supplement of lubricating oil to a bearing, by providing an oil-containing ring around the bearing housed in the bearing seat of an end bracket and by thrusting the peripheral part of the ring by a spring supported on the support spring claw of the end bracket.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 comprises a stator 2 and a rotor 3. A rotary shaft 4 extends through the center of the rotor 3. A bearing seat 6 is provided in the center of an end bracket 5. An oil-containing bearing 8 is housed in the recess 7 of the seat 6 and elastically supported by a spring 9, which comprises a flat peripheral part 11 and a claw part 10 which retains the bearing 8. An oil-containing ring 12 is provided around the bearing 8 so that the inside of the ring is in contact with the ring. The flat peripheral part 11 of the spring 9 is nipped by a spring support claw 13 provided on the end bracket 5 to thrust the peripheral part of the ring 12 by the flat peripheral part of the spring.
