Abstract
PURPOSE: To cheaply manufacture the decorative metallic sheet excellent in the design and resistance to chemicals, by forming the pattern layer and the transparent layer on front surface of the metallic foil whose back surface is provided with resin coat layer, by preparing the laminate sheet from these metallic foils, and by embossing this laminate sheet.
CONSTITUTION: The decorative sheet is constituted of four layers, that is the metallic foil 1 of aluminum, nickel, etc., possessing arbitrary color phase and thickness, the desirably patterned layer 2, the transparent film layer 3 of polyvinyl chloride resin, etc., and the resin coat layer 4 of polyvinyl chloride resin, etc. As occasion demands, arbitrarily thick paper, cloth, nonwoven fabric, etc., is additionally mounted on the back surface of the resin coat layer 4 through adhesives. The order of application or mounting of above stated layers is not specially limited. Thus constituted sheet is subjected to the embossing and is provided with the unevenness to be harmonious or unharmonious with the pattern. The resin coat layer 4 protects the metallic foil 1. As occasion demands, a colored layer 7 can be formed in the cavity of the emboss. According to this method, the excellent decorative metallic sheet can be manufactured cheaply as compared with the conventional product obtained by the metal etching process.
