Abstract
PURPOSE: To equalize capacities of output transformers and prevent partial magnetization in the power transformer, by connecting the secondary windings of the output transformers, in which two converters connected centering a three-phase four- line power transformer, in series with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The secondary windings 72, 73, 82, 83 of output transformers 7, 8 connected to the outputs of the first and second converters 4, 5 are set at the same number of turns. The primary windings 71, 81 of the output transformers 7, 8 are also set at the same number of turns. The secondary windings 72, 82 are coupled in series with each other and the other secondary windings 73, 83 are also coupled in series with each other. As a result, the sum of the voltages of the secondary windings 72, 82 and the sum of the voltages of the secondary windings 73, 83 are picked out as the output voltages of the output transformers and an equal current flows through the secondary windings 72, 73 and another equal current flows through the other secondary windings 82, 83. Thus, the capacities of the output transformers 7, 8 are equalized to each other, the output voltages of the both the converters 4, 5 are also equalized to each other and partial magnetization is prevented from taking place in a power transformer 1.
