Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Tool material having heat resisting property and durability surpassing presently using thermet and not flaking off TiC layer, by making ultra hard alloy obtained by sintering WC and NbC, TaC or TiC with metal binder, such as Co, Fe, Ni etc., as basic material and electroplating the surface of the alloy with TiC layer having a thickness of 1W30μ.
