Abstract

PURPOSE: To cancel discontinuous point of horizontal synchronizing period and to reproduce effective slomotion and still picture, by skillfully using the auxiliary head.

CONSTITUTION: The new azimuth recording track is reproduced and scanned with the auxiliary head preceeded with different azimuth for the second and fifth scanning. Further, at slow motion reproduction, based on the control signal led out at odd number track reproduction start, the switching outputs a∼d are led out so that the first gate G1 with the first scanning, fourth gate G4 with the second scanning, gate G1 with third scanning, second gate G2 with fourth scanning, third gate G3 with fifth scanning, and gate G2 with sixth scanning can sequentially be opened, FM video signal is inputted to the demodulation circuit 1 and the color processing circuit 2 to lead out the demodulation signal and color signal with high region conversion and to input them to the mixing circuit 3. Next, the output of the circuit 3 is in high band conversion 4, the output through 0.5H delay circuit 5 is inputted to the gate G5 and non-delay output is inputted to the gate G6. The output of the gate control circuit 8 opens the gate G5 only with the third to fifth scanning and the gate G6 with the sixth, first and second scanning, to cancel the discontinuous point of 0.5H.
