Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the said apparatus with facility for widely varying the amount of air passing through the humididier and keeping a good humidifying capacity for a long periods of time by arranging an air discharge surface with numerous air outlets against the wick which is partially immersed in a water tank.
CONSTITUTION: When a fan 9 is driven, the air is sucked from an opening 7a of a duct 7 and is discharged from an outlet 5 of an air chamber 4 toward the wick 3 standing in a water tank. Consequently, the atmospheric pressure near the wick changes, the water is sucked up faster by the wick by this change of atmospheric pressure and gas evaporated into the air blast. If the valume of air is regulated by an air damper 11, the atmospheric pressure near the suction wick 3 changes and the amount of vaporization varies with that change. In this case, since the opening 7a is placed near a heating element 10, the air is heated by the heating element 10 and the vaporizing performance of the humidifier can be improved.
