Abstract
PURPOSE: To extend a relay rotation connecting time in a circuit for starting a motor by providing a relay for connecting or disconnecting a starting capacitor in parallel with a phase advance capacitor at a capacitor phase advance single-phase AC motor and utilizing self-electromotive force at instantaneous power disconnecting time or at shorting time.
CONSTITUTION: A single-phase AC motor 1 consisting of a main winding 2 and a phase advance winding 3 provided with a phase advance capacitor C1 is provided with a starting capacitor C2 in parallel with the capacitor C1. A start switching relay 5 is energized through a counter circuit 4 via input lines 6, 7 by the AC power supply of the motor 1 to thereby drive the motor 1. A phase advance voltage is supplied through a line 8 to a counter circuit 4. When the input lines 6, 7 are instantaneously disconnected or shorted while the motor 1 is rotating, the self- electromotive force of the motor 1 is applied between the input line 6 and the phase advance power line 8 to thus extend the rotation connecting time of the relay 5 to thereby prevent the rotating speed of the motor 1 from lowering.
