Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the excellent picture quality by eliminating the high frequency component of the video signal for sampling.
CONSTITUTION: The high frequency component is eliminated through LPF502 for the video signal which is obtained from video detection circuit 501. And the video signal is sampled through sampling circuit 503 with the velocity of more than twice as high as the highest frequency which can pass through LPF. Then the output of circuit 503 is received to be converted into the corresponding driving signal. The picture element of the display unit is controlled and driven to be displayed on the liquid crystal display substance. In such way, the number of the picture elements is reduced for the picture signal, and the cost can be lowered for the display substance and the display driving circuit without impairing extremely the resolution.
