Abstract

PURPOSE: The captioned folding machine which comprises being so constituted that the V-groove form bending concave die on a slide table is pushed up by a small-size jack to bend the metal plate or the like placed between the same and the V-form convex die positioned still in the upper part and which is light in weight and permits moving and operation by one person.

CONSTITUTION: In this metal plate bending machine, a bending concave die 4 is sandwiched on a slide table 5 by a stationary fitting 17 and thick rubber plate 16 and is positioned right under a bending convex die 3. The table 5 is so constituted that it may be moved up and down by slide columns 6 and guide cylinders 7 and that the power of a hydraulic jack 9 is accurately transmitted to the work. Also, arrangement is so made that the guide needle 13 for scribe line incorporated into the convex die 3 is retreated at the same instant of pressing the work. With the above constitution, the work on the concave die 4 is moved upward by operating the jack 9 and is pulled into the convex die 3, by which it is matched accurately to the end of the convex die 3, at the same instant of which the work of the metal plate or the like is bent at a right angle. By using this device, an ordinary steel plate of, e.g, a width 30cm and thickness 2.5mm may be bent by the ordinary force of one person.
