Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep a constant clearance between paper guide plate and drum and prevent uneven transfer, by rotating the rollers fitted to the end of two arms supporting the paper guide plate by keeping contact with the rail parts at both ends of the drum when transferring.
CONSTITUTION: When transferring, a solenoid 7 is exicted to force a transfer arm 5 toward the side of a drum 1, then a guide roller 11 always contacts with the rails parts at the both ends of the drum and can also rotate along with rotation of the drum 1, so that the clearance between a paper guide plate 4 and the drum 1 may be always kept at a constant space. That is, if the diameter of the drum 1 varies, or if the drum is deviated, the clearance between the guide plate 4 and drum 1 may be always kept at a constant space, so that maintenance for fine adjustment is not necessary. Thus, a toner image free from transfer unevenness may be transferred.
