Abstract

PURPOSE: The title easily handleable composition having improved melt fluidity, capable of losing tack in a short time, and giving molded articles with excellent appearance and mechanical properties, comprising a specific unsaturated polyester resin, a polyisocyanate, and a monohydric alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) an unsaturated polyester resin containing a polymerizable monomer, e.g. styrene, and (B) a polyisocyanate, e.g. 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, and (C) a monohydric alcohol, e.g. stearyl alcohol. The ratio of the hydroxyl mumber to the acid value of solid (A) is ≥1.5:1, and the hydroxyl number is ≥20. (C) is preferably used in an amount to give the molar ratio of the hydroxyl group in (C) to the sum of it and the hydroxyl group in (A) of 5W30mol%.
