NEW MATERIAL:A simulated compound of prostaglandin I2 shown by the formula I (B is O, S, or sulfinyl; Y is ethylene, etc.; R1 is H, 1W12C alkyl, etc.; R2 is H, CH3, C2H5; R3 is 1W5C alkylene; R4 is 1W8C alkyl; R5 and R6 are H or hydroxyl-protecting group eliminable under acidic conditions; wavy lines attached to carbon atoms of 11 and 15 positions are α-coordination, β-coordination, or their mixture; double bond between C5 and C6 is E or Z).
EXAMPLE: 16RS-methyl-19-thia-PGI2 methyl ester.
USE: Useful for hypertension, disturbance of peripheral circulation, curing of peptic ulcer, cerebral thrombosis, myocardial infraction, prevention and curing of arterial sclerosis, an obortion and delivery induction of a pregnant mammal, improvement of tertilization rate of a female mammal, control of sexual excitement, contraception and menses induction.
