Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the steady tracking through an accurate detection for the comparatively distant target by lessening the process amount of the target picture signal with installation of the electronic frame around the target picture and at the same time keeping the constant level for the target picture signal to facilitate the detection of the target signal.
CONSTITUTION: Target 1 to be tracked is photographed via TV camera 10, and the output signal is clamped 21 with the black level region kept constant. Then the rectangular electronic frame is provided around the target picture, and the picture signals within the frame are put into sample holding circuit 23 for holding. This held signal is supplied to level shift circuit 24 as the standard for the target detection, and the level shift is given to the output signal of circuit 21 in order to secure the coincidence between the input signal and the constant voltage levle of the target detection. The shifted signal then undergoes A/D conversion 31 and is supplied to picture memory 32 after amplification 38 to obtain the driving signal from the data of the target center. In this way, the comparatively distant target can be detected accurately, thus ensuring the steady tracking for the target.
