Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an enzyme preparation having improved stability and capable of being administered even by injection, composed of a water/oil/water composite emulsion wherein the innermost water phase contains the enzyme.
CONSTITUTION: A water/oil/water-type composite emulsion wherein the inner water phase contains an enzyme (e.g. L-asparaginase, arginase, urokinase, lysozyme, etc.) The outer water phase contains a weak alkali salt and a water-soluble emulsifier, and the oil phase contains the oil component, a fatty acid and an oil- soluble emulsifier. The inner water phase pref. contains a monosaccharide, sugar alcohol, etc. The preparation has similar activity to the micro-encapsulated enzyme and high stability, inhibits the antigen-antibody reaction, and can be administered in high dose.
