Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an antispasmotic agent having selective effect to the lower digestive tract, containing a specific 2-aminotetralin derivative or its salt (including novel compounds).
CONSTITUTION: A composition containing a compound of the formula (R1,2,4,5 are H or lower alkoxy; R3 is lower alkyl; n is 4 or 6) or its salt as an effective component. The compound of the formula has remarkable antispasmotic activity especially to the lower digestive tract in contrast with the conventional anti-choline antispasmotic agent which acts equally to the upper and the lower digestive tracts. The compound of the formula is low-toxic and has wide safety range. In the compound of the formula, N-ethyl-N-[4-(3,4-dimethoxybenzoyloxy)butyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro- 2-naphthylamine hydrochloride, etc. are novel.
