Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a decrease in activity rate due to the occurrence of a fault by simple constitution by displaying the fault occurring to an in-use memory block and then by transferring and storing fault information in a stand-by block.
CONSTITUTION: Data are written in fixed blocks M00, M01... of memory 1 by processor 8 through data lines 101W104 and address lines 120 and 121 respectively and processor 8 makes a decision on the existence of a fault through output data lines 105W108 at every time of access. Once a fault occurs to block M22 of memory 1, a corresponding position on fault block registration table 3 is inverted from "0" to "1" through processor 8 to display the fault and fault data is written in stand-by block 5 selected by OR circuit 6 and AND circuit 7 through control logic line 124 and input selector circuit 4. This data is transferred again to block M22, etc., at the same time as the fault recovery of block M22, etc. Read operation is similarly performed and a decrease in activity rate at the time of the occurrence of the fault is prevented by simple constitution.
