Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible easy and sure connection within the same plane by fixing an optical guide part and a lever-form member to an external frame member by way of elastic material and forming the connector to such a shape that this can be engaged with another external frame member assuming the shape engageable with this. CONSTITUTION:U-link plugs 39, 40 are inserted and fastened to the accepting parts of an external frame plate 38 having receptacles 36, 37. Force is exerted to the knobs 43, 44 of the levers 41, 42 on the plug side and the protrusions of the levers 41, 42 are intermeshed with the fixing support means having notch parts 45, 46 on the inside wall of the inner side provided to the external frame plate 38 of the accepting part, whereby the connection is completed. This enables such an optical U link connector which readily and surely connect the fixed two optical fibers within the same plane to be obtained.
