Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a coating material with catalytic action for an aluminum base capable of controlling the formation of tar carbon on the metallic surface, by blending a silicate, a curing agent, and a pigment as bases with an oxide of IA or IIA group of periodic table.
CONSTITUTION: A coating material for aluminum base comprising an inorganic coating compound consisting of a silicate, a curing agent, and a pigment as bases, and at least one compound selected from the group of (A) and (B). A is an oxide of IA or IIA group of periodic table. B is a compound containing the oxide and shown by the formula (MA)x(MB)y(O)z (MA is an element of I or II group; MB is an element of IIIB or IVB group; O is oxygen; X,Y, and Z are integers). Compounds consisting of Na2O, K2O, CaO and MgO as A, Na, K, Ca, and Mg as MA of B and C, Si and Al as MB of B are used, and if necessary, together with glycerol.
