Abstract
PURPOSE: The title composition having improved preventive and remedial effects against blast and sheath blight, comprising a 2-substituted benzanilide and 5-methyl- 1,2,4-triazolo(3,4-b)benzthiazole as active constituents.
CONSTITUTION: An agricultural and horticultural fungicide composition comprising (A) a 2-substituted benzanilide of the formula (X is halogen, haloalkyl, or alkyl group; R is H or acyl group; R' is alkyl or alkoxy group; R is acyl when X is alkyl group) and (B) 5-methyl-1,2,4-triazolo(3,4-b)benzthiazole as active constituents. The constitutents provide high preventive and remedial effects on blast by not only foliar treatment but also the treatment in the raising seeding box, easy setting of dusting period, and reduced frequency. The weight ratio of (A)W(B) is preferably 1:5W5:1.
