Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide no rotary motion when in idling operation with a lower level of noise from tooth tapping, by rotatably engaging partially at least a main drive gear and counter gear to its respective shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A main drive shaft 1 and a main driven shaft 4 are arranged on the same coaxial line, and in parallel to those above is provided a counter shaft 12. To the main drive shaft 1 is rotatably engaged a main drive gear 5, 6, 7, and a counter gear 14, 15, 16, which is meshed to the above gear, is engaged to the counter shaft. In the above is provided a synchromesh mechanism 2, and an input of the main drive shaft 1 is transferred to the main driven shaft 4. When in operation of idling, with the control lever in the neutral position, a rotary motion of the main drive shaft 1 being not transferred to the main drive gear 5 to 7 and main driven gear 3, a tooth tapping noise is not generated even for a meshing between each main drive and driven gear and counter gear.
