Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically control the focus of the lens by detecting parallax angle and changing the liquid pressure in liquid lens according to this detection output.
CONSTITUTION: While the eye balls are viewing the front, the cornea retina potentials do not emit potential outputs to the eye side skin, but when they view deviatedly to the right or left, they generate DC potentials. Namely, when the eye balls 2, 3 go closer to the nose side, a positive potential is generated in the nose side electrode and a negative potential in the opposite side electrode. The potentials correspond to the deviation angles of the eye balls. Hence, a parallex angle 6 is detected and the potential corresponding thereto is given to an input 21 and is amplified by an amplifier 20 which in turn runs a motor 19. The revolutions of the motor 19 are made to the movement of a piston 16 by a pinion 18 and rack 17, by which the liquid pressure in a liquid lens 10 is changed. Hence, the curvature of a flexible film 12 changes and its focal length is changed. In this way, the focal length of the lens may be automatically adjusted by the change in the parallax angle.
