Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the strength of a luggage carrier without concentration of stress, by making a slant around a juncture of main girder with a cross girder on the rear side of floor plate and fitting a flange to the internal ridge of the slant and welding the flange to the main girder. CONSTITUTION:A main girder 5 is fixed to the rear side of a floor plate 2 of luggage carrier, the girder being spread for the entire length in the horizontal direction. A cross girder 6 is fixed to the plate in the cross direction. The cross girder 6 is formed with a U-shaped cross section and a slant 8 is formed near the juncture of an arm 7 to the main girder 5. A flange 10, extended from the internal rim of the slant 8, is welded to the side of the main girder 5. This construction eliminates concentration of stress on the juncture of the main girder 5.
