Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the effect of atmospheric temperature, by controlling a valve connected to a rigid body which is held between two bimetallic plates of the same kind.
CONSTITUTION: Two bimetallic plates 2, 3 of the same kind are opposed to each other by their low expansion side in a hermetic case 1, and a rigid body is held between them, its both ends being fixed to the bimetallic plates 2, 3 respectively. A heating wire 4 is applied through an insulating material 8 to the plate 2 and its terminal 6 is connected with an amplifier controller. An outlet B, communicated with a refrigerant inlet A and an evaporator inlet, is made on a valve body 13. A valve 16 for controlling a valve seat 15 is fitted solidly with a valve rod 17 and touches the high expansion side of the bimetallic plate 3. As the heating wire 4 is energized, the bimetal 2 is heated and bent upward to raise the valve rod 17. When the heating wire 4 is not energized, both bimetals 2, 3 are evenly influenced by the atmospheric temperature and the valve rod is not moved.
