Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the simplification of the work by inserting the ceramic member having been coated with flux into a metal member thereby shrinkage fitting and coupling these by means of the brazing material having been melted through heating.
CONSTITUTION: Flux 35 is coated on the wall surface of the circular hole 11 of an iron made cylinder 10. Next, a ceramic round bar 20 of an outside diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the hole 11 is inserted in the hole, by inserting a silver brazing material 30' ring. Thence the iron made cylinder 10 is heated to the temperature above the one at which the brazing material 30' melts, to allow a brazing material layer 30 to form. When it is returned to ordinary temperature, the ceramic round bar 20 receives compressive stress owing to thrinkage fit by way of the brazing material layer 30, whereby both 10, 20 are integrally bonded.
