Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title assymmetric and multiporous membrane with high separation performance and mechanical strength, by forming the stock solution containing an acrylonitrile-based polymer into a film, solidifying the film under a specific condition, and then providing the resultant solidified film with heat and plasma treatment.
CONSTITUTION: An acrylonitrile-based polymer is dissolved in a dimeshylformamide mixed with formamide to prepare a stock solution. This solution, being maintained at temperatures above the gelling point, is formed into a film of desired shape. One side of the film is then brought into contact with a ≤15°C aqueous solution containing at least 10wt% of a water-soluble solvent compatible with the above mixed solvent, and the other side of the film with a ≥0°C aqueous solution containing ≤50wt% of a water soluble solvent compatible with said mixed solvent, fallowed by carrying out elimination of the salvent. The resulting solidified film is then provided with heat and plasma treatment at 50W120°C, thus giving the objective membrane.
