Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the title lotion which is liquid before use and gels after application thereby preventing the dripping of the lotion and reducing the treating time, composed of the first liquid and the second liquid, each containing a gelling agent (A component), an assistant for gelation (B component), a volatile solvent (gel- preventing agent) and water. CONSTITUTION:Two-pack type cold-wave lotion composed of the first liquid containing a reducing agent and the second liquid containing an oxidizing agent. Each liquid further contains (A) 7-50wt% of a compound I (a+c=40-300; b=30- 80; the amount of the oxyethylene is 30-90wt% of te average molecular weight), (B) 0-30wt% of a compound II (R is 8-36C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; X is H, 8-22C acyl, etc.; d=0-50; e=3-70), (C) 1-30wt% of a volatile solvent such as ethanol, and (D) 40-90wt% of water. The volatile solvent prevents the gelation of the liquids before use, and rapidly vaporizes after application thus effecting the gelation of the liquids.
