Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of an injection valve, by controlling the quantity of fuel fed in response to the number of injection per unit time by using the pulse signals of frequency corresponding to the flow rate of air sucked as the timing signals of injection.
CONSTITUTION: A Karman vortex street flow meter 8 installed to a suction system of an engine puts out the pulse signals SP3 of frequency proportional to the flow rate of air sucked. A frequency divider 9 puts out timing signals ST2 obtained by suitably frequency dividing the pulse signals SP3. Meanwhile, a pulse generator 10 generates basic pulse signals SP4 with fixed pulse width, and a correction computing circuit 11 corrects the signals in response to engine operational parameters S1WS5 and puts out correction pulse signals SP5. A drive circuit 12 puts out injection pulses P2 with pulse width decided by the correction pulse signals SP5 every time the timing signals ST2 is given, and an injection valve 13 is operated by the injection pulses P2, thus supplying fuel to the engine.
