Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate clogging of filter material by introducing the water to be filtered from the lower part of a filter barrel and passing the filtering water through the interface of the descending filter materials in a convergent state in the upper part of the filter layer then taking it out at the time of filtering the liquid while regenerating and replenishing the granular filter materials extracted from the bottom of the filter barrel.
CONSTITUTION: The SS-contained waste water 3 supplied from inlet port 4 into the lower part of a filter barrel 1 ascends in the marked direction in granular filter material layer. On the other hand, the filter materials having captured SS go down the hopper-form part 5 in the direction of the broken line arrow and enter a filter material transfer chamber 6. Next, the filter materials ascend in a transfer pipe 9 while making friction with each other and being stripped of the deposited SS by the force of the air 8 lifting the waver 7 and are discharged into a regenerating- separating barrel 10. Next, the filter materials are discharged to the bottom of the barrel 10 and SS is discharged through discharge port 11 as sludge waste 12. The regenerated filter materials flow down between conical tapered walls 13, 14 and form the filter layer while creating the natural interface 16 of inverted cone form flowing down in a convergent stage from the wall end 15 of the lower conical wall 14 toward the center of the barrel 1. The waste water to be filtered gushes out from the interface 16, passes through holes 17 and is taken out as treated water 19 through a takeout port 18.
